How It Works

How ShadeLock™ Works

Roll It Down. Lock It Down.

Most outdoor shades block sun from above, but they still move around in the wind and often leave gaps where low-angle sun can sneak underneath.

ShadeLock™ helps solve that problem.

Using your existing shade, a ShadeLock™ DIY Conversion Kit, and a Quick Crank™ shade operator, you can create a more secure, more comfortable outdoor space.

Step 1: Roll Your Shade Down

Use your existing shade and roll it down to the desired height.

For larger shades, the Quick Crank™ makes raising and lowering your shade fast and easy using a cordless drill.

No ladders. No ropes. No struggling with long shades.

Step 2: Convert the Bottom

Install the ShadeLock™ Lock Rod™ system into the bottom section of your shade.

The conversion creates a strong attachment point designed to secure the shade once it is lowered.

Step 3: Lock It Down

Attach the ShadeLock™ system to your anchor points.

Once secured, the shade stays where you want it instead of swinging freely in the wind.

Step 4: Enjoy More Shade and Less Movement

A locked-down shade can help:

✔ Block low-angle morning and evening sun
✔ Reduce lift-and-slam movement
✔ Improve privacy
✔ Create a cleaner appearance
✔ Make outdoor spaces more comfortable

When You’re Done

Simply release the ShadeLock™, then use your Quick Crank™ to roll the shade back up.

It’s that simple.

Roll It Down.
Lock It Down.
Crank It Up.
