Roll It Down. Lock It Down.

ShadeLock™ helps control the bottom of your existing compatible outdoor roller shade, reducing movement and helping keep the shade positioned for low-angle sun and privacy.

The ShadeLock™ Replacement Bottom Control Kit replaces your shade’s bottom tube with a tube-and-LockRod system that connects to ground anchors. No drilling is required for the bottom tube replacement.

Step 1: Replace the Bottom Tube

Remove the existing bottom tube, assemble the replacement tube with its couplers, and slide it into the shade’s bottom pocket. Center the tube and insert a LockRod at each end.

Step 2: Roll Your Shade Down

Use your existing shade mechanism to lower the shade to the desired height.

A Quick Crank™ drill attachment is optional for compatible manual shade mechanisms. Use a standard variable-speed drill; do not use an impact driver.

Step 3: Connect the Ground Anchors

Position the ground anchors slightly outward and downward from the LockRods, following the installation instructions. Check for underground utilities and use firm ground. Connect the LockRods and adjust tension gradually and evenly without overstretching the shade.

When You’re Done

Control the bottom tube, reduce tension gradually, and disconnect the LockRods from the anchors before retracting. Keep clear and roll the shade up slowly with your existing mechanism or a compatible Quick Crank™ attachment. Never retract while anchored.

Inspect the system for damage before use. Retract the shade during severe weather or when unattended. ShadeLock™ is not wind- or storm-proof.
